The Army’s DEVCOM C5ISR Center awarded the contract. Kratos will develop, build and test the Enhanced Seeker.
The company said the new seeker will improve Javelin’s lethality over the next decade. The program will also deliver hardware designed for future production.
Work will take place at Kratos’ Advanced Manufacturing Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Testing will be conducted at U.S. Army government facilities.

Kratos said it will draw on decades of missile-seeker development experience. Its vertically integrated manufacturing operations are intended to support affordable and timely delivery.
The contract also supports efforts to strengthen the U.S. munitions industrial base. Kratos did not disclose the award’s value, schedule or potential production quantity.
