Deliveries of the two systems began in 2022. L3Harris also produces the Integrated Core Processor, which reached full-rate production in 2025.
The company said it has maintained production for new F-35s while supplying equipment for large-scale retrofits. The delivery milestone covers the display electronics and memory systems, rather than complete three-component TR3 suites.
“We built the most advanced airborne processing infrastructure available and scaled it to full production at speed with the quality to match,” said Eric DiStasi, president of Airborne Solutions at L3Harris. “Most importantly, our hardware performs – in testing and in the field.”
L3Harris says TR3 provides 37 times the processing capability and 20 times the data storage of legacy systems. That increased capacity supports sensor performance, pilot situational awareness and decision-making.
The company also said its airborne processing systems have exceeded program reliability expectations. It cited performance across the wider F-35 fleet, which has accumulated more than one million flight hours.
“In the demanding environments the F-35 operates in, reliability isn’t optional,” DiStasi said. “The warfighter deserves hardware they can depend on, and L3Harris is delivering just that.”
