The General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces announced that two more multirole Lockheed Martin F-35A Husarz aircraft have been delivered to the U.S. Air Force’s Ebbing base in Fort Smith. The aircraft, registered as 3506 and 3507, expand the Polish training component stationed there.

The training detachment is planned to include eight F-35A Lightning II jets used to prepare Polish Air Force personnel. According to the General Staff, trials of the eighth aircraft, numbered 3508, are already under way in Fort Worth and delivery is expected next year.

The F-35A Husarz jets delivered to date have completed more than 500 flights. Under the intergovernmental agreement, 24 Polish pilots are set to receive training in the United States.

From the ninth aircraft onward, deliveries will be directed to Poland and assigned to the Łask air base. The first pair is expected in May 2026.

In the long term, the Polish Air Force will operate two F-35 squadrons, with one based in Łask and the other in Świdwin. Lockheed Martin has so far produced more than 1,270 F-35 Lightning II aircraft of various versions, which have accumulated over one million flight hours.

Poland is the twelfth user of the aircraft type. The LOA intergovernmental agreement covers 32 fighters.
