Marshall Aerospace has secured a multi-year contract with the Turkish Ministry of National Defence to support Türkiye’s newly acquired fleet of 12 Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. The agreement covers entry into service, scheduled maintenance, spares, tooling, and sustainment support for the Turkish Air Force.

Under the contract, Marshall will also deliver training to help Türkiye develop its own C-130J operational capabilities. As part of the resale process, Marshall acted as the Principal Retail Partner in collaboration with UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Export & Sales (E&S).

All 12 aircraft have been maintained and stored at Marshall’s facility in Cambridge, UK, where ongoing anti-deterioration work was carried out. Additionally, centre wing box replacements on each airframe will be completed prior to their operational deployment.

“We are delighted to have signed this contract to keep Türkiye’s new modern, world-class tactical airlift fleet mission-ready and mission-capable,” said Marshall Aerospace CEO Bob Baxter. “Today’s announcement highlights our place in the global C-130 community as a leading provider of through-life fleet support.”

Marshall Aerospace has now supported the acquisition and entry into service of C-130 and C-130J aircraft for eight operators, including the Austrian Air Force, the Bangladesh Air Force, and the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration team.
