Among the incoming threats, 728 were identified as Shahed strike drones and decoy UAVs, alongside seven cruise missiles (Kh-101 and ground-launched Iskander-K) and six Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles. Ukrainian air defences claimed to have shot down all seven cruise missiles and 296 drones of various types.
Contact was lost with 415 UAVs, which in the case of decoys are believed to have crashed in remote areas after running out of fuel or being misdirected by electronic warfare measures. “The enemy once again broke a record in the number of used strike means,” the Ukrainian Air Force stated.
The main target of the strike was the western Ukrainian city of Lutsk. Ukrainian authorities officially confirmed hits on industrial facilities in four locations and damage caused by falling debris in 14 others.
Destruction was reported across numerous regions, including Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv. In Brovary near Kyiv, an 8,000-square-metre fire broke out at a production facility.
In the Zhytomyr region, a carpentry workshop and farm buildings were destroyed by fire. In Lutsk, fires occurred at a garage cooperative and in the production halls of a private company.
NASA’s FIRMS satellite data indicated a major blaze at the Ozerne military airbase in the Zhytomyr region. Nearby storage facilities were also affected, with local residents reporting secondary explosions.
