The family already in service included the MVO 1-8×28 for short to mid range engagement, the MVO 3-18×44 for tactical or competition roles and the MVO 6-36×56 for long range and precision use. All three were built to MIL-SPEC standards with a 34 mm tube and were fully waterproof and fog proof, withstanding full submersion for 30 minutes at one metre.
Meprolight said the scopes operated from minus 40°C to plus 70°C and were tested against high recoil calibres to maintain performance in harsh environments. Premium German SCHOTT multi coated glass provided more than 92 per cent light transmittance, supporting clarity and contrast in low light, glare and mirage.
Each optical system was engineered for consistent eye relief, a forgiving eye box and a wide field of view to support situational awareness. Features included red and green reticle illumination with eight brightness levels, NVG compatibility and a 12 hour auto shutoff.
The company said the magnification ring supported an optional throw lever, while windage and elevation adjustments were verified through live fire testing and collimator calibration. “In today’s operational landscape, clarity, reliability and speed of engagement are mission-critical. The MVOâ„¢ family was engineered to give users the ability to operate in any environment, under any condition, with optics that deliver absolute precision and uncompromising durability,” said Meprolight Senior Vice President Golan Kalimi.
Kalimi added: “Whether in close-quarters or long-range missions, MVO ensures that no detail is missed, and no shot is compromised.” Meprolight, part of the SK Group, noted its wider portfolio of electro optical and optical sights, thermal imaging products and self illuminated systems used by the Israel Defense Forces and by military and security forces in more than 60 countries.
