Meprolight, an SK Group company and global leader in electro-optics for military, law enforcement and commercial markets, has introduced the Sting Lumina, a dual wavelength compact laser pointer with an integrated IR illuminator. The system was developed in close collaboration with Special Forces units to support close quarters battle (CQB) and covert night-time operations.

The Sting Lumina is designed for demanding combat environments and is compatible with high-recoil, large-calibre platforms, including machine guns. It offers a visible red or green laser for rapid target acquisition in CQB scenarios, alongside an infrared laser pointer and an IR flashlight with adjustable beam diameter optimised for urban and CQB settings.

According to the company, the system incorporates built-in protection mechanisms to prevent accidental switching to high intensities or visible emission. Fully ambidextrous and ergonomically designed controls, operated via a control cable or a dedicated top button, are intended to ensure reliable use under pressure, and the product complies with MIL-STD requirements.

“The Sting Lumina reflects our commitment to advancing electro-optical solutions shaped by real-world defense requirements and long-term security trends,” said Meprolight Senior Vice President Golan Kalimi. “Developed in close collaboration with Special Forces, it reflects how we translate frontline operational insight into scalable, reliable systems, reinforcing our role as a trusted partner to defense and security forces worldwide.”

Meprolight, part of the SK Group, develops electro-optical and optical sights, thermal imaging systems and self-illuminated solutions designed to enhance mission effectiveness in varied environments. The company states that its products, including magnified optics, rifle and pistol optics, laser pointers, night vision and thermal imaging devices, and tritium-based sights, are battle-proven by the Israel Defense Forces and used by military and security forces in more than 60 countries.
