Estonian defence company Milrem Robotics and Australia-based EOS Defence Systems have signed a teaming agreement to pursue joint business and develop networked unmanned ground systems. The companies said the partnership would combine Milrem’s unmanned vehicle platforms with EOS’s remote weapon and counter-drone technologies.

The agreement sets out cooperation across marketing, product development and research and development, allowing both sides to integrate their respective capabilities. “By combining Milrem Robotics’ unmanned ground vehicle expertise with EOS Defence Systems’ advanced weapon and integration capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to deliver scalable and mission-ready solutions for modern armed forces,” said Kuldar Väärsi, chief executive of Milrem Robotics.

“This teaming agreement reflects our shared commitment to innovation, interoperability, and responding to evolving operational requirements,” Väärsi added. EOS said the partnership would address increasingly complex drone threats across mobile and contested environments.

“The drone threat environment is increasingly mobile and contested, and effective defence can no longer be confined to fixed sites or crewed platforms,” said Andreas Schwer, chief executive of Electro Optic Systems. “This teaming agreement extends EOS’ world-leading counter-drone systems onto unmanned ground platforms, supporting more flexible and layered defence approaches.”

The companies will initially focus on markets in the Middle East and North Africa, the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, while assessing opportunities in the United States on a case-by-case basis. Cooperation will include joint research into integrating weapons, sensors and effectors onto Milrem’s unmanned vehicles, with the aim of accelerating the deployment of shared solutions.
