The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) participated in the Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) event at Millbrook Proving Ground near Bedford, in the United Kingdom.

Marc Nuijten (NSPA BOXER System Management Group Manager), Mr. Fotios Elmaliotis (NSPA BOXER Supply Chain Manager) and Rob Howe (NSPA BOXER Technician) presented NSPA on a joint stand with the OCCAR BOXER Programme Division.

Elmaliotis briefed the audience during the conference Plenary Session, providing a high-level outline of the history of NSPA and its capabilities delivering Integrated Logistic Support services such as configuration management, Depot Level Maintenance and Supply Support to BOXER user nations after vehicle delivery.

Nuijten participated in a panel discussion, alongside OCCAR and senior representatives from DE&S and the British Army. The session served to further inform DVD delegates on the UK BOXER Programme from the development, series production and delivery of BOXER vehicles up to the In Service Support (ISS).

The event offered the Land Equipment community the opportunity to learn about NSPA’s extensive support to the BOXER offered to participating Allied Nations through the BOXER Support Partnership.

This SP is managed by NSPA’s BOXER SMG which currently provides in-service and life cycle management support to the BOXER vehicles from Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania and the United Kingdom. Some of the NSPA BOXER Programme milestones include: the start of the UK series vehicle deliveries and the continuation of fielding of vehicles in the coming years. With other BOXER nations having additional requirements for extra BOXER vehicles and new BOXER vehicle types, and with the expansion of the current fleet of 700 fielded vehicles to more than 1500 over the coming years, NSPA is working on efficiently addressing ISS tasks such as increased stock-levels and consolidation of efforts.

The DVD is a biennial Defense exhibition focusing predominantly on Land Equipment. It is jointly sponsored by UK Army Headquarters and the UK’s Defense Equipment and Support agency (DE&S) and it provides a platform for Industry partners and Defence in the land equipment sector to come together for discussions and briefings, as well as vehicle demonstrations and displays. This enables closer collaboration between industry and military stakeholders to deliver increased capability via the leveraging of cutting-edge technology and innovation.
