In Huntsville, Northrop Grumman is driving the next era of missile defence and space technology, supporting the Golden Dome for America initiative. At its Missile Assembly Building, more than 20,000 square feet of production space is dedicated to enhancing launch and missile defence capabilities, while teams at Cummings Research Park contribute to Sentinel, the land-based intercontinental ballistic missile system for the U.S. Air Force.
The company is also advancing the manufacturing and integration of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), the centrepiece of the U.S. Army’s air and missile defence modernisation strategy. By connecting diverse defence assets, IBCS provides a unified framework for comprehensive missile defence, underpinning concepts such as Golden Dome for America and strengthening capabilities for U.S. allies.
Northrop Grumman recently expanded capacity with its Enhanced Production and Integration Center (EPIC) facility in Madison, which spans over 175,500 square feet, including 129,000 square feet of flexible production space. Equipped with advanced additive manufacturing and laser technologies, the EPIC facility supports the assembly, integration, testing and delivery of advanced command and control systems for the U.S. Army and allied nations.
With nearly 100,000 employees and more than 30 million square feet of manufacturing space across the United States, Northrop Grumman says it has the capacity, scale and agility to deliver national security capabilities at speed. The company states that its approach “was developed to accelerate and enhance the entire process from design and development to production and testing,” reinforcing its commitment to meeting both current and future security needs.
