Ondas secures $3.4 million order for Iron Drone Raider Counter-UAS system in Europe

By Defence Industry Europe

Ondas Holdings Inc. has announced a $3.4 million order for its Iron Drone Raider Counter-UAS system from a renowned European defence contractor. This order marks the first deployment of the Iron Drone Raider in Europe, reinforcing Ondas’ position as a leading provider of autonomous aerial defence solutions.

The European defence contractor selected the Iron Drone Raider after evaluating its performance, safety, and integration capabilities. The system will be integrated into the government client’s operational security framework and will play a key role in the evolving counter-drone architecture.

Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas, emphasised the importance of the order, stating: “Ongoing geopolitical instability and the rapid proliferation of hostile drone technologies have intensified the urgency for effective counter-UAS capabilities across NATO-aligned and partner nations. This order reflects the rising global demand for autonomous aerial defense systems that can be rapidly deployed, scaled, and adapted to modern threat environments. Iron Drone Raider delivers a differentiated solution for military and homeland security operators charged with safeguarding critical infrastructure and civilian populations from increasingly sophisticated aerial threats.”

The Iron Drone Raider features the ability to autonomously detect, intercept, and neutralise hostile drones, including those operating without GPS, RF signals, or remote control. Built for dense urban environments, the system utilises a drone-on-drone, net-based capture approach, providing a low-collateral, reusable solution for persistent airspace security.

Ondas’ Iron Drone Raider is equipped with AI-driven onboard processing, allowing each interceptor drone to autonomously engage targets and return to base for immediate redeployment. This capability ensures continuous protection and rapid response in dynamic threat scenarios.

This latest order follows a series of international milestones for Ondas Autonomous Systems, including operational deployments of the Raider in the Middle East and expanding adoption of the Optimus platform for intelligence, security, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Ondas is actively increasing production and field support to meet the rising global demand for defence and homeland security solutions.
