The White House said U.S. forces struck more than 13,000 targets during Operation Epic Fury, a 38-day military campaign against Iran. The operation involved over 10,200 air sorties and focused on dismantling key elements of Iran’s military infrastructure.

According to official figures, the strikes targeted a broad range of assets across Iran’s defense network. These included more than 2,000 command and control sites and over 1,450 defense and industrial base targets.

Additional targets included more than 1,500 air defense systems and over 450 ballistic missile-related sites. The campaign also struck approximately 800 attack drone targets and more than 600 naval targets.

U.S. forces also engaged mine warfare capabilities, destroying over 700 mine systems. During the operation, more than 1,000 incoming drone threats and over 700 ballistic missiles were intercepted.

Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, outlined the operational objectives. “On February 28, the President of the United States ordered the Joint Force to execute Operation Epic Fury with the direction to accomplish three distinct military objectives: destroy Iran’s ballistic missile and drone capabilities, destroy the Iranian navy, and destroy their defense industrial base to ensure that Iran cannot reconstitute the ability to project power outside their borders,” he said.

“Over the course of 38 days of major combat operation, the joint force achieved the military objectives as defined by the President,” Caine added. He said the campaign focused on systematically degrading Iran’s military capabilities.

The White House said the operation significantly reduced Iran’s defense industrial capacity. It reported that more than 85 percent of the country’s defense industrial base had been destroyed.

Iran’s air operations were also affected, with daily flight activity reduced to zero. The campaign also targeted naval forces, destroying 150 vessels across multiple classes and eliminating submarine capabilities.

Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary, described the outcome of the operation. “This is a victory for the United States of America that the President and our incredible military made happen,” she said.

“From the very beginning of Operation Epic Fury, President Trump stated this would be a four-to-six-week military operation to dismantle the military threat posed by the radical Islamic Iranian regime,” Leavitt added. She said the operation achieved and exceeded its objectives within the planned timeframe.

Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War, also commented on the campaign’s outcome. “From the strike that took out Qasem Soleimani to tearing up the disastrous Obama Iran deal, to the precision campaign that obliterated Iran’s nuclear sites in Operation Midnight Hammer to the decisive military victory we just achieved in Operation Epic Fury, no other President has shown the courage and resolve of this Commander-in-Chief,” he said.

“President Trump forged this moment. Iran begged for this ceasefire — and we all know it,” Hegseth added. Officials said the campaign concluded with Iran agreeing to a ceasefire and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

The White House said the operation also degraded Iran’s space and weapons development capabilities. Around 70 percent of its space-related infrastructure was reported to have been destroyed or rendered inoperable.

More than 2,000 strikes on command and control systems disrupted military coordination. Officials said the cumulative effect of these actions significantly weakened Iran’s ability to conduct military operations.

The operation was presented as a demonstration of U.S. military capability. It also highlighted the scale and intensity of modern joint-force operations in contested environments.
