The partnership will contribute to the Army’s initiative to expand organic manufacturing capacity for small unmanned aircraft systems within existing military depots. The effort aligns with provisions in the recently signed National Defense Authorization Act that promote increased production of unmanned systems across the United States.
According to the companies, the agreement also reinforces Orqa’s Global Manufacturing Program, which aims to broaden the company’s production footprint and strengthen supply chain capabilities. The collaboration builds on Orqa’s ongoing engagement with the Department of War and reflects shared support for the Army’s wider modernization initiatives.
Through the partnership, Orqa plans to contribute to expanding domestic manufacturing of unmanned systems used by the U.S. military. The company stated that increased production activity in the United States may also support growth across its broader operations.
Under the initiative, “Made in America” Orqa platforms will become available to U.S. military customers. The systems may also be supplied to allied nations through established security cooperation channels.
The agreement represents another stage in Orqa’s relationship with the U.S. armed forces and highlights the company’s role as a provider of unmanned systems and related components. The company has recently received authorizations enabling it to support U.S. Army programs in Europe.
Srdjan Kovacevic, co-founder and chief executive officer of Orqa, emphasized the importance of the initiative for expanding drone manufacturing capacity. “We’re thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the increase of U.S. drone manufacturing capability. The resulting boost in capacity will add to the production we can already achieve at our headquarters, a figure that will grow significantly as our Global Manufacturing Partnership Program comes online throughout the year.”
Kovacevic added that the agreement reflects confidence in the company’s technology and industrial capabilities. “This agreement is a clear vote of confidence in Orqa, our capabilities, and our products.”
