Turkiye’s largest land platforms exporter, Otokar, will take part in Expodefensa 2025 in Bogotá from 1 to 3 December. The company will present scaled models of its TULPAR and COBRA II vehicles at the Corferias Exhibition Center and outline its capabilities in land systems.

Otokar aims to deepen cooperation across South America with a focus on industrial collaboration, technology transfer, and local manufacturing. The company continues to follow evolving regional requirements and plans to offer solutions tailored to user needs through potential partnerships and localisation models.

Expodefensa 2025 will provide an opportunity for Otokar to meet current users and explore new avenues of cooperation. Commenting on the regional outlook, Sedef Vehbi, Otokar Military Cluster Head, said, “Today, more than 33,000 Otokar military vehicles are actively in service with over 70 end users in more than 40 countries. We have military vehicles successfully serving in South America. Thanks to the vehicles already operating in the region, we closely follow user expectations. Expodefensa is an important platform for strengthening our existing relations as well as evaluating cooperation opportunities involving industrial participation and localized manufacturing. Our goal is to increase our presence in the region.”

TULPAR will be highlighted as a new generation combat vehicle offering mobility, high firepower, and strong survivability. Designed as a multi purpose tracked platform ranging from 28,000kg to 45,000kg, it is intended to meet both current and future operational needs of modern armies.

The vehicle is available in several variants that share common subsystems and it has been tested in harsh climates and tough terrain. TULPAR provides high ballistic and mine protection with modular armour and will appear at the exhibition fitted with the 30 mm MIZRAK turret.

COBRA II, which is already in service with more than 20 end users worldwide, will also be featured. The vehicle is recognised for its high protection level, mobility, internal volume, and payload capacity, and offers resistance to ballistic, mine, and IED threats.

Its performance and adaptability have made it suitable for roles such as border security, internal security, and peacekeeping missions. COBRA II will be showcased with the KESKIN turret, highlighting its compatibility with a wide range of weapon and mission systems.
