PBS GROUP will showcase its latest innovation, the PBS TJ200 jet engine, for the first time in the Czech Republic at the International Engineering Fair in Brno from 7 to 10 October 2025. The presentation coincides with the 75th anniversary of the company’s Velka Bites plant and highlights its dynamic growth.

This year’s participation of PBS Velka Bites at MSV will be marked by a celebratory spirit in light of the 75th anniversary of the plant’s existence. The company has therefore prepared a surprise for visitors to the trade fair, unveiling the most powerful engine in its history.

“The interest from customers around the world in this engine is enormous. It is designed for unmanned aerial vehicles, guided missiles, and defence applications, and thanks to its parameters, it can advance and change the needs of airspace defence. It has an excellent power-to-weight ratio, low fuel consumption, and a compact design,” says Milan Macholán, CEO of PBS Velka Bites.

The company is investing record sums in its main production plant in Velka Bites, including a new hall worth nearly one billion Czech crowns, alongside modern CNC machines and equipment. Production of jet engines is set to increase by more than 200 per cent this year compared to 2024.

PBS is also strengthening innovation through partnerships, most notably with Pratt & Whitney, to jointly develop a new generation of auxiliary power units for military and civil aircraft. The collaboration, part of Czech-American industrial cooperation following the purchase of F-35 aircraft, will create around 100 jobs in Velka Bites.

Approximately 780 people are currently employed at the Velka Bites site, with more than 200 additional positions planned. The company emphasises long-term job security, benefits, and an average salary of CZK 64,589, significantly above the national average.

“We are primarily looking for technical professionals for our aviation division, but also engineers and development specialists who will contribute to innovation and new products. Candidates are attracted not only by the security of a job for many years to come, but also by the opportunity to participate in internationally interesting projects that further advance PBS as a global high-tech leader in aviation,” adds Milan Macholán.

PBS GROUP continues to expand globally, with Czech jet engines reaching new markets in 2025. In April this year, the company opened a new plant in Roswell, Georgia, where serial production of TJ40 and TJ80 jet engines began in September, with investments expected to reach up to 110 million USD.

With investments at home and abroad, innovation projects, and steady employment growth, PBS is reinforcing its position as a global player in aviation. The company remains a strong regional employer while supporting NATO and allied defence projects as well as civil aviation.
