The twin turboprop aircraft will be equipped for both executive transport and air ambulance missions, reflecting the growing demand for multi-role aviation platforms across regional markets. This marks the first sale of Avanti EVO aircraft in Türkiye and further demonstrates the model’s blend of speed, efficiency, and operational versatility.
“This order reinforces the strong international positioning of the Avanti EVO,” said Giovanni Tomassini, Chief Executive Officer of Piaggio Aerospace. “We are building a new future for Piaggio Aerospace thanks to the full support of our new owner, Baykar.”
Baykar Technologies, best known for producing the Bayraktar TB2, Akinci, and Kizilelma drones, completed the acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace in June after initiating the process in December. The Turkish company has also expanded its partnerships within Europe, signing cooperation agreements with Leonardo to form LBA Systems, a joint venture focused on developing “next-generation unmanned systems.”
The new contract strengthens Piaggio Aerospace’s position within Baykar’s growing aerospace ecosystem and signals closer industrial cooperation between Italy and Türkiye in advanced aviation technologies.
