Poland, Türkiye discuss defence cooperation and ammunition production technologies

Poland’s Deputy Defence Minister Pawel Bejda met with Turkish Ambassador Rauf Alp Denktash on Wednesday to discuss cooperation in the defence industry, with a focus on ammunition production technologies. According to Poland’s Foreign Ministry, the talks covered Turkish support in acquiring modern technologies for producing 120mm and 155mm calibre ammunition for Polish industry.

 

The discussions also addressed the role of the Polish Military Contingent in NATO operations aimed at strengthening Türkiye in the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions. The ministry said Türkiye places great hope in deepening military-industrial ties, viewing Poland “as a historically credible partner.”

 

 

The statement added that bilateral cooperation with Poland is seen by Türkiye as an opportunity to strengthen its position in the European market. This includes potential joint business ventures within the defence sector.
