Founded in 1907, CGS Inc. is well-known for its expertise in precision gears and power transmission technologies for defence and industrial applications. The company is headquartered in Mariemont, Ohio, and also operates a facility in Milford, Ohio.
This strategic acquisition adds around 15,000 square metres of production capacity and over 100 skilled employees to the RENK Group. It also strengthens RENK’s manufacturing footprint and customer support capabilities in North America.
“The acquisition is a pivotal step in our efforts to build a stronger presence in North America,” said Dr Alexander Sagel, CEO of RENK Group AG. “RENK America Marine & Industry LLC will support our strategic growth initiatives and strengthens the basis for RENK’s profitable growth in the naval sector but also strengthens our ability to deliver mission-critical solutions for customers worldwide especially.”
The move represents a key development in RENK’s global growth strategy, particularly in enhancing service for the US Navy and allied defence forces. It reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its operations and capabilities in critical international markets.
“We are excited to officially join the family and begin this new chapter as a part of the strong RENK Group,” stated Patrick Potter, President of RENK America Marine & Industry LLC. The new entity will play an integral role in RENK’s broader industrial and defence portfolio moving forward.
