RENK Group joins Made for Germany initiative, planning up to €325 million investment in innovation and capacity by 2028

RENK Group AG has joined the cross-industry ‘Made for Germany’ initiative, signalling a clear commitment to Germany as a business location. The initiative brings together 114 leading companies and investors aiming to strengthen economic competitiveness and create sustainable conditions through closer cooperation with politics.

RENK Group AG has joined the cross-industry ‘Made for Germany’ initiative, signalling a clear commitment to Germany as a business location. The initiative brings together 114 leading companies and investors aiming to strengthen economic competitiveness and create sustainable conditions through closer cooperation with politics.

 

Chief Executive Officer Dr Alexander Sagel underlined the company’s motivation for joining the initiative and its long-term investment plans. “As the RENK Group, it is our responsibility to make a significant contribution to a secure future and to Germany as a strong business location. That is why we are part of ‘Made for Germany’. We have confidence in the location and will be investing more than a quarter of a billion euros in our digital transformation, our innovative strength, and the targeted expansion of our capacities by 2028,” he said.

Within this framework, RENK plans to invest up to €325 million in Germany by 2028, focusing on digitalisation, innovation, and the expansion of production capacities. Measures include drive-by-wire technologies, new transmission systems for tracked vehicles, entry into the unmanned heavy platform market, and increased output at its Augsburg and Rheine sites.

The ‘Made for Germany’ initiative envisages joint investments of €764 billion by its members in areas such as innovation, research, infrastructure, and employment by 2028. By participating, RENK aims to support technological progress while reinforcing its long-term commitment to Germany as a strong and sustainable industrial location.
