The order supports Army requirements through defence contractor ADS Inc. and the Defense Logistics Agency. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2026 and continue through October 2027, with the upgrades bringing existing mounts to the current configuration.
The MK93 is designed to mount crew-served weapons and support reliability, configuration commonality and long-term sustainment. The order combines new production with the modernisation of previously supplied equipment.

American Rheinmetall said it anticipates further orders, with details to be confirmed later. The system is also available for commercial sale to eligible customers under applicable regulations and export controls.
