Commenting on the delivery, Rostec chief executive Sergey Chemezov said: “Our aircraft plants are clearly and on time fulfilling the tasks set for them to supply equipment to the troops. At the same time, we are not simply mass-producing aircraft; there is continuous development of the machines taking into account the customer’s needs and real combat conditions of use.”
He added: “The Su-57 is a formidable weapon that has proven its effectiveness on the front line. It has many targets destroyed to its credit, and the fifth-generation complex can be used even in the conditions of operation of the most advanced enemy air defence systems; today we have delivered to the troops aircraft that have become even more powerful and dangerous.”
The Su-57 multirole frontline aviation complex is designed to perform a wide range of combat missions, including engaging air, ground and sea targets, and can be operated around the clock in adverse weather and heavy electronic countermeasures. A pilot of Russia’s Aerospace Forces said: “The aircraft has already shown itself well during the special military operation, and the new technical configuration will help expand the range of tasks for which this type of aircraft is used.”
The pilot also noted that “the promising capabilities built into the aviation weapons complex make it possible to employ new types of airborne weapons,” while thanking factory staff for their professionalism in producing and preparing the jets. Separately, UAC chief executive Vadim Badekha said: “The fifth-generation Su-57 aviation complex is the best aircraft in its class, but we are not stopping at what has been achieved, as the fighter continues to be improved with expanded weapons and system capabilities.”
