Among the exhibits is an airspace surveillance system designed to detect and track targets including unmanned aerial vehicles and cruise missiles, with the ability to identify low-altitude, low-speed objects moving at speeds from 10 metres per second. The system is intended to provide early warning and accurate target location in complex operational conditions.
The stand also features the Pantsir family of short-range surface-to-air missile systems designed to protect military and civilian facilities from advanced airborne weapons. On display are the Pantsir-S1M, the naval Pantsir-ME and the Pantsir-SMD-E, along with the full range of ground-to-air guided missiles developed for the system, including miniature interceptors.
Rostec states that the Pantsir has a proven operational record, including the destruction of ATACMS missiles, the engagement of low-observable Storm Shadow cruise missiles and successful interceptions of AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles. The company describes the system as the most widely used air defense solution worldwide.
The exhibition also includes the Verba man-portable air defense system, designed to engage aircraft, helicopters, UAVs and cruise missiles while remaining effective amid strong optical jamming. For increased mobility, visitors are shown the Dzhigit launching unit, which can be deployed in three minutes and used to fire two Verba or Igla missiles from fixed, vehicle-mounted or man-portable configurations.
