Raytheon said it produces both kinetic and non-kinetic Coyote variants capable of defeating small to large drone systems at longer ranges and higher altitudes than similar class effectors. “Coyote provides warfighters a cost-effective defense for individual drones and swarms,” said Tom Laliberty, president of Land & Air Defense Systems at Raytheon. “We continue to invest in Coyote’s combat-proven capabilities, ensuring that allies around the globe gain an affordable operational advantage over sophisticated and evolving drone threats.”

The company recently secured its largest counter-drone contract to date under the U.S. Army’s Low, Slow, Small-Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System (LIDS) program. Raytheon said it has invested significantly in production and performance enhancements for the kinetic Coyote variant to address growing global demand, enabling faster launches, higher speeds and extended range at higher altitudes to counter unmanned aircraft systems carrying heavier payloads over longer distances.
Raytheon, an RTX business, has operated for more than 100 years and develops technologies in integrated air and missile defense, smart weapons, advanced sensors, radars, interceptors, space-based systems, hypersonics and missile defense across land, air, sea and space domains. The company said its continued investment in counter-drone systems reflects the evolving nature of unmanned threats and the need for scalable, cost-effective defense solutions.
