The trials assessed the SR20 against specification requirements and tested its performance as a complete system. Saab said the vehicle demonstrated manoeuvrability, precise pilot control and stable operation throughout the programme.
The results provided further validation of the SR20’s fully electric architecture and integrated control systems. The testing also measured the platform’s capabilities under conditions designed to stress the vehicle as a complete system.
Saab’s Seaeye remotely operated vehicles have supported subsea operations across a range of applications for 40 years. The SR20 builds on that experience as the company progresses development towards operational deployment.

Following completion of the inland water trials, the SR20 programme will now move to its next phase of testing. Development will continue towards the vehicle’s planned delivery.
