Saab said the investment supports its strategy to close capability gaps in the space domain and speed up innovation in areas linked to national security. It also reflects Saab’s ambition to strengthen Sweden’s space capabilities and contribute to growing global defence needs in orbit.
“Pythom’s vision and technology offer a unique opportunity to advance Sweden’s and its allies’ space capabilities in a way that is both pragmatic and forward-looking. We are proud to support their journey toward their first orbital flight,” says Marcus Wandt, head of Group Strategy and Technology at Saab.
Saab is investing USD 10 million as the lead investor in Pythom’s latest funding round. The funding is intended to accelerate Pythom’s development and deployment of its launch systems.
