Saab has received an order worth approximately SEK 1.5 billion from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration for the Trackfire Remote Weapon Station. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2028, with the order booked in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The systems will be used by the Swedish Army and the Amphibious Battalion 2030, an ongoing programme aimed at developing future amphibious capabilities within the Swedish Armed Forces. According to Saab, the order supports the modernisation of both land and amphibious units.

“We are honoured that Trackfire RWS has been selected as a crucial part of the future capabilities for the Swedish amphibious forces and the Swedish Army,” said Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance. “This order reflects our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern defence.”

Trackfire RWS is a fully stabilised, remotely operated dual-weapon station designed for use on naval vessels, land vehicles or fixed positions, providing accurate fire while on the move. The FMV order includes the new Trackfire ARES variant equipped with a 30×113 mm M230LF Bushmaster chain gun, offering dedicated counter-unmanned aerial system capability.
