The industrial facility will offer around 4,300 square metres of floor space and capacity for 220 professionals, integrating industrial production machinery, clean rooms, testing systems and engineering offices for the aerospace and defence sector. Designed internally by Sener’s architects and engineers, the building will follow the existing architectural style, incorporate advanced energy-efficiency systems and target LEED Gold certification, with operations expected to start in 2027.
The project forms part of a broader investment plan to support growth in projects and workforce through organic and inorganic expansion, alongside the new complex under construction at the Zamudio Technology Park in Biscay. The Zamudio facilities, covering 10,000 square metres, are scheduled to begin operations in 2026 and will significantly reinforce Sener’s industrial capacity.
“The symbolic act we are celebrating today reflects Sener’s commitment to public safety, Spain’s deterrence capability and the country’s industrial progress,” said Amparo Valcarce, adding that the investment “consolidates Sener’s Centre of Excellence in Control and Actuation systems as an international reference.” Sener President Andrés Sendagorta stated: “It is a source of pride to contribute to the operational capability of our Armed Forces,” while CEO Jorge Sendagorta noted that “today we are celebrating a milestone in our expansion in the defence market.”
The event also marked the first milestone of a year shaped by Sener’s 70th anniversary, which will be celebrated throughout 2026. With facilities across several Spanish cities, the company aims to strengthen national technological sovereignty while contributing to employment, innovation and the country’s industrial fabric.
