The contract was realized by defence industry company Konštrukta Defence, a producer of Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers. The company is a subsidiary of DMD Group, a defence industry holding owned by the Slovak Ministry of Defence.

In addition to eight Zuzana 2 howitzers already delivered, the company Konštrukta Defence will produce another sixteen Zuzana 2 artillery systems for Ukraine.
This batch of howitzers is financed by Germany, Denmark, and Norway. The contract, worth EUR 92 million, was signed in Ocrober 2022, in Copenhagen. Deliveries are scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2023.
