Israeli company SmartShooter, was awarded a follow-on contract to supply additional SMASH 2000L fire control systems to the U.S. Army, including spares.  Systems from the first Army award are now deployed for the purpose of defeating drones.  The addition of this contract will outfit more troops for the same critical need.

Israeli defence technology company SmartShooter has announced that its U.S. subsidiary, SmartShooter Inc., has received a $13 million order from the U.S. Army. The contract is for the supply of SMASH 2000L fire control systems to be used by the Army’s Transformation In Contact (TIC2.0) forces.

These units are designed for rapid testing and integration of emerging battlefield technologies. The SMASH systems will support the Army in enhancing its dismounted counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) capabilities.

Known as SMASH 3000, the SMASH 2000L is SmartShooter’s lightest fire control solution, mounted directly on a soldier’s rifle. It uses computer vision, artificial intelligence, and advanced tracking algorithms to detect, track, and accurately neutralise both aerial and ground targets.

The technology has already been deployed by multiple branches of the U.S. military, delivering valuable field experience and operational proof of its effectiveness. This latest order signals a significant expansion in its use across combat formations.

“We are honored by the U.S. Army’s continued confidence in our SMASH technology,” said Michal Mor, CEO of SmartShooter. “With SMASH 2000L, dismounted Soldiers are empowered with advanced fire control capabilities, ensuring precision in every shot—even in the most complex and high-pressure scenarios.”

Mor further noted that the current contract is a vital move towards broader Army deployment. She affirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the initiative.

The SMASH system, proven in combat by the Israeli Defense Forces during Operation Iron Swords, is also gaining traction among NATO forces. Its growing adoption reflects international interest in its ability to counter modern drone threats effectively.
