As a result, South Korean company Hyundai Rotem has completed the delivery of a total of 180 K2 Black Panther tanks to Poland.

As reported by Defence Industry Europe, in August 2025, Poland signed a second deal with Hyundai Rotem. Under this contract, Poland’s land forces are scheduled to receive 116 K2GF tanks (the South Korean standard version) between 2026 and 2027, along with 64 K2PL tanks (a Polish version equipped with locally produced subsystems). The final batch of vehicles will be partially produced by the Polish defence industry.

Earlier this month, Polish armoured vehicle manufacturer Bumar-Łabędy—a subsidiary of the state-owned defence conglomerate PGZ Group—signed a technology transfer agreement with Hyundai Rotem of South Korea. According to the agreement, the first K2PL tanks are expected to be assembled in Poland in 2029.
