ST Engineering secures Singapore defence contract for next-generation Terrex s5 infantry vehicles

ST Engineering has secured a contract from the Singapore Ministry of Defence for the production and supply of next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicles, awarded in December 2025. The contract was announced today and highlights the company’s role in delivering advanced land defence solutions for evolving operational needs.

ST Engineering has secured a contract from the Singapore Ministry of Defence for the production and supply of next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicles, awarded in December 2025. The contract was announced today and highlights the company’s role in delivering advanced land defence solutions for evolving operational needs.

 

The vehicles will be progressively delivered from 2028 and will be based on the Terrex s5, the latest 8×8 armoured fighting platform in the company’s Terrex family. The Terrex s5 is designed around five core pillars: Smartness, Superiority, Sustainability, Survivability and Serviceability.

 

 

Built on the proven Terrex lineage, the platform features digitalised systems to enhance situational awareness, a cyber-secure Generic Vehicle Architecture and advanced vehicle electronics with enhanced firepower. ST Engineering will also partner the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Science and Technology Agency to integrate additional capabilities into the vehicles.
