Embraer announced the sale of up to six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU). The contract, which is part of a fleet renew program to expand FAU's operational capacity, provides for the acquisition of one aircraft plus the commitment to acquire five additional units, with deliveries scheduled from 2025, including mission equipment, integrated logistics services and a flight simulator.

GMV and several Portuguese companies (Centro de Engenharia e Desenvolvimento de Produto, Empordef Tecnologias de Informação, and OGMA - Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal S.A.) signed a memorandum of understanding with Embraer in Portugal during the four-day state visit to the country by Brazilian President Lula da Silva, which was also attended by Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa, as well as other political and business figures. José Neves, GMV’s Defense and Security Manager in Portugal, also attended the signing, which took place on 24 April at the OGMA’s facilities.
