U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Jason T. Hinds has officially assumed command of NATO’s Allied Air Command (AIRCOM), U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), and U.S. Air Forces Africa (AFAFRICA) during a ceremony held on 31 October 2025 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He succeeds General James B. Hecker, who retired earlier this year after 36 years of service, with Air Marshal Sir Johnny Stringer having served as acting commander in the interim.
