AeroVironment has delivered the first two mobile counter-unmanned aircraft system prototype Laser Weapon Systems to the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office. The systems, part of the Army Multi-Purpose High Energy Laser prototyping effort, integrate the 20kW-class LOCUST laser on General Motors Defense Infantry Squad Vehicles.
