Thales has secured a contract from France’s Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) to develop and deploy AURORE, a new ground-based radar system designed to monitor satellites and debris in low Earth orbit. The radar is part of the French ARES programme (Action and Space Resilience) and will significantly boost national and European capabilities in space surveillance.
