On 9 September a B-1B Lancer landed at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, to begin replacement of its Forward Intermediate Fuselage (FIF) at Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).

The U.S. Air Force has revealed the first photograph showing two Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider stealth bombers together at Edwards Air Force Base.
Northrop Grumman is also preparing the Air Force to operate and maintain the B-21 through advanced training and management tools.
The U.S. Air Force has said a decision on the final size of the B-21 Raider bomber fleet will not be made soon, as U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) continues a long-term analysis of requirements.
U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers have returned to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, after completing a two-week deployment in support of Bomber Task Force Europe on 22 August.
