Sweden has finalised a significant agreement with German defence manufacturer KNDS Deutschland for the acquisition of 44 Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks. This new fleet will be part of Sweden’s ongoing modernisation of its armoured vehicle inventory, extending upgrades to all 110 existing Leopard 2 systems in the country’s arsenal, KNDS Deutschland said in a press release.
