Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has signed a strategic agreement with Defcomm, an Italian startup specialising in unmanned maritime solutions, to co-develop advanced autonomous surface units. The partnership aims to accelerate the industrialisation of Defcomm’s drones, which have already completed long-run and endurance trials, and are designed for surveillance, intelligence, and patrol missions.
