Europe’s first 5G defence testbed, located in Latvia, has been supplemented by two new standalone 5G networks, built by Nokia and Ericsson. This will make it possible to test defence innovations on a variety of networks.

The testbed, originally launched by telecommunications innovator LMT in collaboration with the Latvian National Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence, has been in operation since November of 2020.
