Sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT is developing essential core elements of the novel sensor network in the German-French-Spanish armament project FCAS (Future Combat Air System).

The Remote Carrier Technology Pillar is focused on developing new concepts and technologies in coordination with the new manned combat aircraft of the NGWS/FCAS using a set of unmanned vehicles.

The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Manned-Unmanned Teaming Demonstrator project will now move to the next phase: further paving the way for FCAS by developing a flying remote carrier (RC) demonstrator in the coming years.
Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier announced that he has reached an industrial agreement with Airbus on the next-generation fighter aircraft (NGF), a key component of the FCAS.
FCAS (Future Combat Air System) is the biggest European defence project. Its estimated cost could be over 100 billion euros.
