South Korean shipbuilding company Hanwha Ocean has announced a major contract with the Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) to construct two advanced FFX Batch IV frigates. The deal, valued at approximately USD 578.7 million, marks the start of the fourth and final phase of the FFX programme, designed to replace ageing Ulsan-class frigates currently in service.
