U.S. Navy awards additional Arleigh Burke-class destroyer contract to General Dynamics Bath Iron Works

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works has confirmed the U.S. Navy’s decision to exercise an option for an additional DDG 51 destroyer under the multi-year contract awarded in 2023.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has been awarded a significant contract by the U.S. Navy, valued at up to USD 807.6 million, for its Mk 54 Lightweight Torpedo Program. The agreement includes a base value of USD 139.2 million and was finalised on 20 December.
