General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) has announced the successful completion of its Orbital Test Bed (OTB) satellite’s scheduled five-year mission. Launched in June 2019, the satellite will now enter an estimated 20-year deorbit phase, gradually re-entering Earth’s atmosphere.

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) has announced the successful completion of its Orbital Test Bed (OTB) satellite’s scheduled five-year mission.

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy, facilitated by Advanced Technology International (ATI), to further develop its Long Range Maneuvering Projectile (LRMP) Common Round. The award, issued under the Naval Surface Technology Innovation Consortium’s (NSTIC) Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract vehicle, aims to enhance offensive strike capabilities for the Navy using existing 155 mm artillery systems.
