Hanwha and BAE Systems sign MoU to develop advanced multi-sensor satellite system

The collaboration will combine BAE Systems’ ultra-wideband Radio Frequency (RF) sensor technology with Hanwha Systems’ expertise in small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites.

Hanwha Systems has signed a contract with South Korea’s Agency for Defense Development (ADD) to develop a next-generation Multi-Function Radar (MFR) for the L-SAM-II system. The agreement, announced on 26 May, is valued at approximately USD 40 million (KRW 54.7 billion).
