The U.S. State Department has approved a potential Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Japan for equipment and services supporting its Hyper Velocity Gliding Projectile (HVGP) programme. The deal, valued at an estimated USD 200 million, was announced by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) on 10 March 2025 and is pending final approval from the US Congress.
