thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (tkMS) has been commissioned by Germany’s Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to develop the Interactive Defence and Attack System for Submarines (IDAS). The contract, signed in late 2023, aims to develop and qualify a guided missile system for submarines to counter air threats.
