On 25 December, a test launch of India’s K-4 intermediate-range submarine-launched ballistic missile took place in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Visakhapatnam District. The missile was fired from the submerged, nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine INS Arighaat (SSBN 81), the second Arihant-class vessel and the first serially built unit of the class.
