Curtiss-Wright to supply turret drive stabilization system for Rheinmetall KF51 Panther tank

Curtiss-Wright has been selected by Rheinmetall Landsysteme Germany to supply its modular Turret Drive Stabilization System (TDSS) for the KF51 Panther Main Battle Tank.

During the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition in Paris, German defense giant Rheinmetall is presenting its Lynx KF41 combat vehicle family. The company is exhibiting the first production vehicle of the Hungarian infantry fighting vehicle, a demonstrator of the Lynx Skyranger 30 air defense vehicle, and, for the first time, a demonstrator of a direct fire support/light battle tank equipped with the HITFACT MkII 120mm turret from Leonardo.

At the International Armoured Vehicles 2025 conference in Farnborough, new details emerged about Italy’s ambitious plans to modernise its armoured forces.

Hungary, through its national defence industry innovation company N7 Holding Ltd, has entered into a strategic partnership with Rheinmetall. This collaboration focuses on the development of the new generation KF51 Panther main battle tank. The agreement was signed in Zalaegerszeg on Thursday, 14 December, marking a notable milestone in the partnership between the Hungarian government and Rheinmetall.
