Estonia has signed a contract to procure 12 additional CAESAR wheeled self-propelled howitzers, reinforcing its artillery capabilities and renewing strategic defence cooperation with France. The agreement was confirmed during a meeting in Brussels between the defence ministers of the two countries, who expressed their intention to renew their strategic defence cooperation framework.

Hensoldt has received several major orders from KNDS to equip combat and armoured personnel carriers with digital optronics, marking a further step towards Software-Defined Defence. With a total value of more than €400 million, the contracts rank among the most significant orders for digital vision systems in the land sector.

  The largest share of the business relates to equipping the Boxer RCT 30 wheeled armoured vehicle, known as the Schakal, under a contract worth around €290 million.
