Scientists from Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic recovered the unmanned surface vessel Lightfish in Troia, Portugal, on 9 September after its solo transatlantic crossing. The fully autonomous craft completed the journey in just over two months, almost 12 days faster than the previous known attempt.
